AbstractThe temperature dependences of dielectric properties and the time-dependent dielectric permittivity are investigated for 33PbYb(1/2)Nb(1/2)O(3)-22PbZrO(3)-45PbTiO(3) ceramics in electric fields with 0 < E < 8 kV/cm. Our data show that a small fraction of pseudocubic relaxor phase is present along with rhombohedral and tetragonal phases in the phase that exists in this material below the morphotropic transition temperature. In contrast to other relaxors, the dielectric permittivity of the phase existing below the morphotropic phase transition temperature does not vary with time in an applied electric field. The causes of such behavior are discussed.
