AbstractThe oxygen evolution reaction (OER) with sluggish kinetics is a bottleneck for the large-scale application of water electrolysis. Herein, solid -solution hexagonal Nio 5Coo 5Se nanoflakes are designed and successfully synthesized via a facile hydrothermal method with a much lower overpotential of 216 mV at 10 mA cm -2 and a Tafel slope of 37.08 mV dec(-1).
